Baghdatis qualifies for Rio Olympics

first_imgCyprus tennis star Marcos Baghdatis has qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this summer.According to a press release issued by the Cyprus Olympic Committee, Baghdatis, ranked 41 in the world, will compete in Rio during the first week of the Games, between August 6-14, at the Olympic Tennis Centre.The Cyprus Olympic Committee congratulates 31-year-old Baghdatis, his coach Dejan Vojnović and the Cyprus Tennis Federation on this success.The Rio Games will be the third Olympics for Baghdatis, who first participated in Athens in 2004 when he was 19-years-old.
